What is 99 Nights In The Forest?

99 Nights In The Forest is a 3D survival game set deep in a dark forest. The rules are simple and tough: survive 99 nights. During the day you explore, gather food and materials, and build. At night the forest turns hostile — wild animals and enemies come out, and every night they are stronger than the one before.

How to play

PC controls

  • W A S D — move
  • E — pick up an item

  • G — drop an item from your bag
  • Left mouse button — drag or shoot

Survival tips

  1. Use daylight well. Daytime is for gathering. Collect wood, food and materials before you do anything else.
  2. Fire first. A campfire and a shelter make the first nights far easier. Build them before dark.
  3. Keep your bag organised. Drop (G) items you don't need so there is room for what keeps you alive.
  4. Prepare for tomorrow tonight. Enemies get stronger every night, so a defence that worked on night 3 may fail on night 10. Keep upgrading.
  5. Stay near your base after dark. Exploring at night is the quickest way to end a run.

Can you last all 99?

Most players don't make it on their first try — and that is the fun. Each run teaches you a better plan. For more games about building and staying alive, check our Adventure Games.
