What is Chess Online?
Chess Online is a full chess game you can play right in your browser. Face the computer at 18 difficulty levels, from Beginner to World Champion, and choose a time control: Unlimited, Bullet, Blitz, Rapid or Classic. It's great for learning, too — the game highlights possible moves, offers hints, lets you undo, and gives an analysis after the game that shows your mistakes.
How to play
- Click a piece to see where it can move, then click the square.
- Checkmate the opponent's king to win.
- Use hints and undo while you're learning.
Tips
- Control the centre. Pawns and pieces in the middle of the board are strongest.
- Develop your pieces early. Get knights and bishops out before moving the queen.
- Read the analysis. It's the fastest way to improve after each game.
