What is Crash Core?

Crash Core is a physics destruction game about one simple pleasure: building up speed and smashing through everything in your way. You control a heavy rolling core. Crates, walls, shipping containers and heavy machinery all stand between you and the next zone — and all of them can be broken if you hit them hard enough.

Every object you destroy drops scrap. Scrap is how you grow: spend it on upgrades and your core gets bigger and stronger, which lets you push deeper into tougher zones that are packed with sturdier obstacles.

How to play

  • Desktop: steer with WASD or the arrow keys. You can also steer by dragging with the mouse.
  • Mobile: drag on the screen to move and steer.
  • Roll into objects at speed to break them, collect the scrap they leave behind, and choose upgrades when they are offered.

Tips for bigger runs

  1. Speed is damage. A slow bump barely scratches a wall. Give yourself a run-up before you hit something big.
  2. Chain your destruction. Smashing several objects in a row builds bigger combos and more scrap than stopping and starting.
  3. Clear the small stuff first. Crates are easy scrap. Sweep them up early to afford the upgrades you need for walls and machines.
  4. Upgrade before you push on. If an obstacle stops you dead, go back, farm some scrap and come back with a stronger core.

Why players like it

Crash Core is easy to pick up — there is no complicated story or menu, just you and a world full of things to break. Runs are short enough for a quick break, but the upgrade loop keeps pulling you back for "one more go". If you enjoy it, try more games in our Casual Games section.
